Money, Meetings, and Birthdays!!

Howdy Fun Friday Friends! Today sure flew by! Wow! We started with quiet reading, work board, and reading groups! Friends are working on animal research on owls, and using text and evidence in the story to support their learning! In math we showed our learning about all the coins, quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies, and half dollars! We also had a great morning meeting lead by Georgia! The koosh greeting, clothespin game, and Sandwiches! Fun Georgia! Well done! Alea turns 8 this weekend and decided to bring in cupcakes for the whole class in celebration! Thanks Alea, they were delicious! Today was picture day, so we combed our hair and brought our pearly white smiles into the art room for pictures today! Beautiful! We started a new book in read aloud this afternoon by one of our most treasured and beloved authors, Roald Dahl. Matilda! A story about a brilliant little girl and her adventures with bumbling parents, an annoying big brother, and a 200 pound headmistress known as the Trunchbull!! We ended the day cleaning our desk spots and tidying up our classroom... very responsible friends! Have a great weekend! Can't wait to read your weekend stories on Monday! FYI: Monday, half day, Tuesday, no school (teacher work day), back for a full day on Wednesday! See you soon!
